Mark has worked for South Staffordshire Council for over twenty years. Joining the authority in 2002 as a lifeguard whilst studying at university. He has progressed through the organisation taking on many internal roles and working on secondments with partners including the School Sports Partnership, County Sports Partnership, Public Health and working within Primary Care for the NHS.

Mark is dedicated to the Council and serving the people of South Staffordshire and was one of the first candidates to take part in the 21^st Century Public Servant programme, featuring in the publication walk tall being a 21^st Century Public Servant.

In 2017 he became Assistant Director for Community Services, overseeing the councils’ functions for Leisure Services, Street Scene, Facilities Management, Waste & Recycling and Emergency Planning. More recently in 2019 the Councils Environmental Health and Licensing Functions also became part of his service team.

Mark is an advocate for the Councils One Team, One Council approach and has a passion for delivering the best possible outcomes for the people of South Staffordshire.
