Solace response to adult social care white paper plan

Responding to the adult social care white paper plan, Solace health & social care spokesperson Dwayne Johnson, said: “It’s disappointing to hear about the decision by the Department of Health & Social Care to reduce funding to what was originally committed to support much needed reforms in social care. Whilst we still need to understand the Government thinking, the reduction in funding will clearly make the challenges we face in attracting, training and retaining staff in the sector much more difficult at a time when more investment is needed to successfully reform services. However, Solace is committed to working with the Department to support workforce developments, accelerate opportunities to digitise, and support vulnerable people in their own homes.”
