What’s it all about?
Part of our vision at Solace is to promote a more inclusive culture within the sector, and one of our core goals is to nurture emerging talent. Over the coming years, as pressure mounts on the sector to deliver outstanding frontline services in the face of changing demands, this will be more important than ever.
Our new Trailblazers: Base Camp event is aimed at those at the start of the local government or public sector leadership journey; motivated, passionate and forward-thinking individuals with an enthusiasm for the sector.
Join us on Tuesday 11th October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for a day of learning and networking opportunities aimed at emerging future leaders (or Trailblazers, as we like to call them). Established and Executive leaders are also invited to attend alongside Trailblazers from within their organisation.
How to secure your place
Trailblazers
The event is FREE for all Trailblazers to attend, whether accompanying a senior leader, or coming alone. Trailblazers choosing to attend alone can simply click the button below to book your ticket through our website. If you are attending alongside a current leader, they must complete the booking process as outlined below.
Established and Executive Leaders
For established and executive leaders wishing to attend alongside a Trailblazers, tickets are also free provided you are attending Solace Summit (12th – 13th October in the same location). If you have not yet booked your Summit ticket, simply click here to do so.
Once you have selected your ticket and proceeded to checkout, you’ll then be presented with the opportunity to confirm your attendance at the Summit dinner, add your free Trailblazers ticket and let us know who you are bringing. If you haven’t decided who you’re bringing yet, don’t worry, you’ll be able to let us know a little later on.
If you have already booked your Summit ticket, a Trailblazer can be added with ease. Simply log into your Solace account, navigate to the event within your profile, and select ‘Manage Registration’.

WHY NOT STAY FOR SOLACE SUMMIT?
12th – 13th October
We would like to encourage you to build on the knowledge and skills gained at the Trailblazer Base Camp, so we are inviting you to stay for the duration of Summit for the nominal flat fee of £215 +VAT offering a discount of over £300 off full-priced Summit tickets.
This year the theme for the Summit is ‘Peak Performance’ and with the help of some incredible speakers we’ll be exploring everything from the Levelling Up agenda to building and leading a successful team.
This two day event will include a series of keynotes, panel sessions and breakouts, as well as fireside chats. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking, with two drinks receptions, plus of course our signature Summit evening activities including ‘An Evening with Solace’ and the Summit Dinner.
