Solace President responds to 2019 Queen’s Speech
Martin Swales, Solace President, said: “The Government has set out plans for reform across a number of areas of importance for councils and our communities including social care, mental health, and the environment.
“Local government, given sufficient powers and funding, stands ready to play an even greater role in improving the life chances of our residents and creating thriving communities post-Brexit.
“We look forward to meaningful discussions with officials about how local government can play an active role in making the aims and ambitions of this Queen’s Speech a reality.”
