Institute of Interim Management (IIM) Survey, 2017 – Results

The Institute of Interim Management annual survey is a key event in the world of interim management providers. The survey asks senior interim managers and their clients to rate providers, such as Solace in Business – against a series of criteria. Over 2.300 individuals took part in the survey, the full results are available here : https://iim.org.uk/providers-platinum/

This year, for the fourth year running, Solace in Business (SiB) has moved up the rankings, within the top ‘Platinum’ category. Many industry insiders recognise that this has been a difficult year for all interim providers and yet SiB is one of few in its industry cohort to move up. This is a statement from Terry McDougall, SiB Director:

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for us here in the Interim Team at Solace in Business.

“This year the IIM has ‘tightened the field slightly…to focus on quality down to 72 from 80 in four tiers of 18 Providers: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.’

“The results have been collated and we are thrilled to announce that we have moved up from 13th to 12th position on the list out of 72 providers, and in the platinum category.

“This is an improvement on last year’s ranking – so we’re really pleased that we are being recognised for our hard work and commitment to working collaboratively with our clients, candidates and as a team.

“Awards like this are very important to us at SiB. As a social enterprise, we have a strong ethical approach to finding the right interims for our clients. We work together, not on commission, to offer candidates who can make a real difference to the public sector. It’s been a very challenging year, especially with the recent changes to public sector recruitment and without the backing of our dedicated candidates; we wouldn’t be able to work in such a way.

“Thank you once again!”.
