Housebuilder Hill tackles the council housing shortage through innovative Investment Partnerships

Hill Investment Partnerships (HIP) – a subsidiary of Hill Group – is an innovative subsidiary designed to consolidate our skills and experience and work in partnership with local governments to deliver a range of affordable and market housing.

At Hill we have a strong track record of delivering, with local authority partners, a variety of successful mixed-use developments which have made the best use of land and local resources and helped to meet local housing needs.

The Cambridge Investment Partnership LLP, our first partnership, with Cambridge City Council, was established in 2017 and is progressing well. Sixteen sites in the council’s ownership will be delivered through this innovative arrangement, providing nearly 900 new homes for the city. Planning consent has been granted for nine sites to date and work on these sites is progressing well. The first completion of 56 new affordable homes is anticipated to complete at the beginning of 2020.

The Rushmoor Development Partnership was established in 2018 between Rushmoor Borough Council and HIP to support the delivery of the Council’s ambitious borough wide regeneration programme. This investment partnership will provide 900 new homes and commercial spaces across four key sites in Aldershot and Farnborough town centres.
